The red carpet outside the museum was packed to the brims with celebrities, models, athletes, editors, and more — well, at least until Beyoncé sailed in and the crowd was whisked away to make room for the Queen — and what (or rather who) everyone wore was the biggest story of the evening. While some people didn’t quite get the rebellion memo, there were definitely some major moments to be witnessed.

Just got back from The United States Grand Prix. Red Carpet got me the best tickets at the place for an unbelievable price. They were totally honest, straightforward, professional, (yes,I know I'm talking about a ticket broker) and the event was sold out, so the potential for shenanigans was there. With the alcohol fuelled fun of the Golden Globes behind them and the stiff old Oscars just a month away, the stars turned to the SAG Awards on Sunday night for another round of backslapping and merriment.
And while this poor cousin of the really glamorous events can't lay claim to be the sexiest ceremony around, the 19th annual awards held at LA's Shrine auditorium managed to at least plenty of red carpet inspiration.
Holding back the major frocks for the Oscars, the overriding trend was a wall of monochrome as seen on leading ladies Anne Hathaway, Julianne Moore and Claire Danes.

Prior to the 1990s, many celebrities chose their own red-carpet dresses, with the Oscars being remembered for some extraordinary and eccentric outfit choices, including torn denim, sequinned jumpsuits and even Indian headdresses.[1] For ceremonies such as the Golden Globes, it was rare to see a star dressing up formally until the late 1990s, with many nominees turning up casually dressed.[3] When Halle Berry came to the 2000 ceremony in a glamorous white Valentino dress, it was described as a game-changer which set the standard for Golden Globe red carpet style, and according to Phillip Bloch, her stylist at the time, "began the time when a dress could actually make a career." The increasing dependence on fashion stylists was something that had emerged since the 1990s, leading to criticism that red carpet fashion, particularly at the Oscars, now appears "bland and homogeneous", following a model of "discreetly elegant gowns, softly swept-up hairdos and lots of diamond jewellery". The stylist's role is to try to ensure that the client only receives positive publicity for her appearance and is not featured on 'worst-dressed' lists.

The dress is simply stunning! It is incredibly formal so I would only rent this if it's an extremely formal affair you're attending. I am smaller up top and a little wider at the hips and butt and this dress was very flattering. It doesn't hug your hips but it's form-fitting up top. I am 5'3 and weigh around 135lbs. My only complaint was that it was a little too long even in my 3 3/4" heels but I made it work. I would definitely recommend this dress and Rent the Runway!
